IIS means Internet Information Services (formerly Internet Information Server) is an extensible web server created by Microsoft for use with the Windows NT family. IIS supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SMTP and NNTP protocols.
Internet Information Services (IIS) for Windows Server is a flexible, secure and manageable Web server for hosting anything on the Web. IIS is open architecture and scalable. IIS is also ready to handle the most demanding tasks.
Go to control panel on your windows machine.
Click on Programs link.
Click on Programs and Features link.
Click Turn Windows fetures on or off option link on left side of above mentioned window.
In Windows Features pop up window, Choose below items under Internet Information Services.
FTP Server
Web Management Tools
World wide web services
Select Internet Information Services Hostable web core
Click on ok and proceed to update once selected above mentioned options on windows features pop up.
