MySql Data version incompatibility issue in Visual Studio Project (C#)
The primary reference "MySql.Data, Version=8.0.18.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the .NET Framework assembly "System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" which has a higher version "4.0.0.0" than the version "2.0.0.0" in the current target framework.
How to resolve this above issue in .NET application ?
1. Please check the visual studio C# ASP.NET project .NET Framework,
2. .NET application is created using .NET Framework 3.5, here required atleast .NET Framework 4.0, so we need to change the .NET Framework as 4.0 for the application by right clicking on the project in solution explorer.
3. Target Framework is updated to 4.0 for the application.
Rebuild the application and resolved the version mysql data incompatability issue.
